How It Works

Q: How does our service work?

A:

#1. You use this website to order online from multiple farmers/makers all in one spot.

#2. Those vendors deliver the ordered items to our hub.

#3. We pack the orders.

#4. Then, you pick up or we deliver, depending on what option you choose at checkout.

Pickup & Delivery

Q: Where do you deliver?

A: We deliver to Clarksville, Freeport, Alto, Lowell (southern), Saranac (southern), Hastings (northern), Middleville (eastern), Caledonia (eastern)

For more info & delivery range, visit our pickup & deliveries page found HERE.

Q: Where is your pickup hub located?

A: Our hub is located at 103 S. Main Street, Clarksville, MI (Clarksville Coffee location).

Q: When will my order be ready?

A: If you order by Monday at 11:59pm, your order will typically be ready that same Wednesday (for pickup) or Wednesday/Thursday (for delivery, depending on your zip code).

Visit our pickup and deliveries page found HERE.

Q: Do I need to be home for delivery?

A: Yes, please make every effort to be home during your pickup slot. If you need to leave, but will be home shortly, place a secure cooler on your front porch (or similar) area. Please note that once products are delivered, we are no longer responsible for loss.

Orders

Q:  Is there a minimal order amount?

A: Yes, we require orders that are a minimum of $15 (subtotal). A $2.99 gathering fee will apply to each order, so please keep this in mind and think about grouping more items together.

Q: Will I need to sign a contract or subscription?

A: No! Membership is not needed, nor any contracts. This is simply a local market e-commerce website to make shopping local easy.

Q: Do any other fees apply?

A: During checkout, a $2.99 Gathering Fee will apply to each order, regardless of your total. If you choose delivery, an additional $8.99 fee will be added (but ohhh sooo convenient!).

Food Keeping

Q: How is my food kept safe?

A: When food is dropped off to us by vendors, we keep your items temperature controlled at our hub. The Local Farm Cart carries a retail license and has been approved by MDARD. â€‹â€‹

Returns

Q: Do you accept returns?

A: The Local Farm Cart inspects goods for quality during the gathering process, prior to pickup/delivery. If the products don't meet our quality check, we'll remove it from your order and refund you. We typically do not handle returns (especially for consumable items) and do not offer product exchanges. Think of us like a local farmer's market. If you have a concern, please contact support.
